01

Grievance Officer

Sunny Kothari, Grievance Officer and Data Protection contact.
hello@kothari.info
Postal address available on written request. Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00–18:00 IST.

02

What you can complain about

Content you believe is unlawful, defamatory, infringing or invasive of privacy.
A factual error in a piece, though hello@ is faster for this.
A comment posted by another reader.
Handling of your personal data, or a refused request to access, correct or erase it.
Anything about the newsletter on either channel, including messages you did not ask for.

03

What to include

The URL, the specific sentence or comment, what you say is wrong with it, and how you would like it resolved. If you are complaining on behalf of someone else, say in what capacity. Anonymous complaints are read, but cannot be responded to.

Write to hello@kothari.info, or use the contact form It gives you a reference straight away, which is the thing to quote if the fifteen days run out.

04

Timelines

These are commitments, not aspirations:

Acknowledgement within 24 hours of receipt.
Resolution within 15 days, with reasons given in writing either way.
Content that is unlawful on its face, or non-consensual imagery, is taken down within 24 hours.
Data protection requests: acknowledged within 48 hours, completed within 30 days.

05

If you are not satisfied

For data protection matters you may escalate to the Data Protection Board of India. For content matters you may approach the appropriate authority or court. Nothing here removes any remedy available to you by law, and using this process is not a precondition to it. The data itself is described in the privacy notice.
